8 button gamepad in Win98 UPDATED W/ PICS

I got this real cheap $10 gamepad, and it's got 8 buttons on it. The problem is that win98 is only letting me define a custom gamepad with four buttons. Any idea how I can get around this? I have no CD, no software.
And please don't tell me I get what I pay for. I already know that.

AT&T doesn't offer any support - at least I couldn't find any at the website.

simply put, it requires drivers. the custom gamepad option in win98 only supports the standard analog joystick port which only supports 4 buttons, and 4 axes.
what you can do is try drivers for some other brand of gamepad. Or maybe post a pic of the gamepad and maybe someone here will recognize it and have drivers for it
