8 of the bodies retrieved in the rescue of Jessican Lynch have been confirmed to be members of the engineering group she was traveling with. At this time their names have not been released.

8 Bodies Found in Raid Were U.S. Soldiers


I heard a radio report today of an Iraqi General who attempted to run an American roadblock outside Baghdad in a Mercedes. His vehicle was destroyed in a hail of 50 cal machine gun fire. A phone book was found on his body that contained the telephone numbers for Saddam and other high ranking command officers. Did anyone else see or hear anything about this?

But, what, 5 of the 507th were fine. They did not appear to be injured (except for that one woman's foot/leg). Are those people now part of these dead???

We saw them live, now they are dead, thats enough proof for me.

But weren't there like 12...or 15 members of the 507th that were captured? And I don't see some of the names mentioned in the video as being on the list of the dead.

dont forget they could be the 5-6 that were shown on the video that were already dead...

That's what I was thinking...but what about the other 2-3 bodies?

OK, the ones that were on TV are not the bodies they found. The bodies they found with Lynch were already listed MIA when the POWS were taken.

15 were in the ambushed squad. 2 were confirmed dead, 1 rescued, 5 POW, 7 MIA. SO now all 7 MIA are known dead and I guess they got one of the bodies from the original 2 KIAs.
