Wow, $78 is dirt cheap, but that 1GB is rough. USB is only on the keyboard and is 2.0

TW802 has 2GB, USB 3 on the main unit, no keyboard and is $104 open box.

To me I think it comes down to if you think 1GB is enough.

I picked one up to test out. I have a specific use for it - I want something to offload photos/videos to in the field for stuff like my SD/CF cards from my cameras & audio recording gear. And even more specifically, I want something to offload captured media off my iPhone. My iPhone is only 64 gigs, which fills up with photos & videos really fast. There are a number of ways to offload without a computer, such as Lightning USB drives & wireless hard drives, but they are mostly either really pricey ($400 for an mFi-certified iKlips) or slow (Sandisk makes a wireless USB stick, WD makes a wireless hard drive, etc.).

With this unit, I get a reasonably compact 9" tablet PC that I can stick a low-profile 128gb USB stick in for $29 & copy the data over. In my particular case, I shoot a lot of video in Filmic Pro, which, on the newer phones, can record 100mbps 4K inside of the app, which means you either need to use iTunes File Sharing to transfer the data (instead of the Camera Roll, which would negate using the Lighting or Wifi drives anyway), or you need to export the app itself using a tool like iMazing (it can export the IPA, which you can rename to ZIP & then access the media files inside, which is really useful for archiving footage with time/date stamps). Which means you need a computer with a USB port to transfer the data, so this fits the bill pretty nicely & I think 1GB RAM will be just fine for simple data transfers. Granted, this is an extremely specific use-case scenario, haha.

1gb is a deal breaker for me. You will only be able to open one application at a time. I have a 1gb Windows tablet. It is almost a paperweight.

Ordered one for the GF. Its pretty disposable so I don't care. I also have a bunch of 128GB sd cards laying about and will stick on in there. Its a decent burner tab. thanks OP!

Let me know if the 128 works, it says 64 max but I'm hoping the larger sizes will work.

1gb is a deal breaker for me. You will only be able to open one application at a time. I have a 1gb Windows tablet. It is almost a paperweight.

I have one Chrome window open with 5 tabs and the memory is full. It is definitely a single-tasker. However, for only having 1 gig of RAM, it is surprisingly zippy. Youtube HD & Netflix play just fine. IPS screen is great - posting from it now, even though the font is tiny, it is very clear & easy to read.

Only thing I really don't like is that the screen hardly tilts back at all. I've also run into some small glitches & snags. When I tilt the screen back, it makes the noise like I've unplugged it from the keyboard (although the 'switch to tablet mode' doesn't pop up, it kind of catches itself). I've had one time where the screen graphically glitched out until I did a hard restart on it.

The keyboard is hilariously small & has a few weird shortcuts (like single-quote is Fn-L, so I have to hunt around for it). It takes about ten minutes to get used to typing on, but the keys are high-quality, chiclet-style like a Macbook. The trackpad is tiny, but does do gestures like left & right swipe-in, 2-finger right-click, and 2-finger scroll. The keyboard & trackpad are fairly sensitive, I sometimes end up selecting half a page or zooming on accident. And the Windows 10 sidebar for screenshots keeps popping up, haven't figured out what triggers that yet lol. Edit: got it, single-finger swipe from the top activates the screenshot feature. Happens when I hit spacebar & then move my finger down to the trackpad, haha.

Build quality is surprisingly high-quality. The tablet feels good in your hands - nice materials, good weight. The screen looks excellent holding it vertical mode, actually the best I've ever seen for reading, and the screen size is perfect for holding it portrait-style. Battery life is excellent as well, it had maybe half or 3/4 of a charge when I took it out of the box & had about 4 hours estimated left, used it a bit yesterday, shut the lid, using it today, still going! Haven't had to charge it yet.

Speaker is mediocre; max volume is not very loud. However, it does have a headphone jack, as well as Bluetooth (quality Bluetooth speaker cubes are ~$30 these days). Max screen brightness is good. Not outstanding, but not crappy & definitely not just adequate. I am really very surprised at the very good screen quality, nice chiclet keyboard, and overall build quality, especially the feel of the materials, for the price.

Overall, I feel like this is a better machine than I expected...but it's still an $88 machine. The lack of usable screen tilt is my biggest complaint, followed by the disconnect noise it makes when I tilt the screen at all (may just be a bug on mine) & somewhat sensitive keyboard & mouse. Although, as small as it is, thanks to the chiclet design, I've gotten used to typing on it far quicker than the old Netbooks, which had just plain horrible keyboards. I'm writing this post out on it without too much trouble, other than the apostrophes from the unique keyboard combination required to get them, haha.

I have Windows 8.1 on mine, does Windows 10 manage the resources on 1gb better?

If so, I'll upgrade the OS.

I've used Win8 on machines with 2 gigs of RAM, and so far Win10 seems snappier on 1 gig. I would say, give it a shot (you can always roll back).

Just got mine a little while ago. It's not too bad. A bit slow and has trouble switching from tablet mode to desktop mode but for 80 bucks its pretty nice.

This comes with full blown Win 10? Does the ram come in a dimm slot? upgradeable maybe?

I'm thinking of picking one up to run my Serato DJ software on.

I'll attest to Windows 10s memory management. 1511 introduced a dynamic memory compression feature that runs pretty spiffy on smaller memory pools. Thanks OP, I needed a portable SSH machine with my USB serial adapter that wasn't a 900 dollar Pro tablet.

Popped in a 128gb sd card. It works fine. Just finished the 5411 windows 10 update and it's a bit faster and smoother.

I have Acer tablet that has twice the RAM, and it was $200; but it is very unstable. Windows freezes almost everyday, needs physical shutoff. I've tried all the drivers and all BIOS updates, and no luck.
The low price of device will catch with you, it might not be obvious from the start what all problems are there. For example, WiFi card will probably be very cheap and buggy.
