Right now Autozone has Exxon oil for $1.09 a quart, limit 2 cases.
Exxon has a $4.20 rebate per case, limit of 4 rebates. So that comes out to $8.88 a case or .74 a quart after rebate.

13.08 case
-4.20 rebate
XXX tax
= $8.88 a case AR

Rebate

While you are there get a Vaulecraft oil filter for $1.99. Filter is made by champ labs, same people that make STP, ST2000, Mobil1, K&N, etc... oil filters. Just don't use Fram please.

Mobil1 is great for peopel that have cars they are going to keep a long time and/or those with turbos etc...

But for peopel with basic cars that get their oil changed every 3000-3500 miles this is great oil.

Well if you don;t want to buy exxon products because of that, then you better buy your oil from overseas. The MAJORITY of bulk oil is made by Exxon. So if you buy Valvoline, Castrol, etc... you are buying Exxon/Mobil oil.

Good deal.

Just don't buy it and get drunk on your drive back home. You could have a wreck and spill it everywhere.

Thought I should add, as it has been asked a bit at Fatty Wallet...

The limit of 2 is per Autozone rules, not exxons. So buy a case every day for 4 days and you can still get the rebates. Just can;t buy more then 2 at the same time.

The Feb 12 is the last day Autozone has the Exxon oil on sale. It is regularly $1.39 a quart. So rebate will still be good, but sale will not, so end of hot deal ends Feb 12.

This is good DINO oil. But it is no Mobil1, syn. I have a car I change its oil every 3K so it gets Exxon oil, good but cheap. Now if I had a car that went 5-6K on oil changes or required a better oil like a Turbo powered car then yes I would use Mobil1.

is there much of a difference between regular oils?? Like Exxon, Mobil, Quaker, Castrol, etc. And what about those oils that say they're made for "High Mileage" or "Start-up" And also the type of oil: 10W-30, 10W-40, etc. Also any recommendations from anyone?

I'm a newbie at oil changes, just started last month:beer:

I just threw in Mobil 1 to compare price. I use it in my car along with a K&N Oil Filter since its been proven to be the best for my application. Check our http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ for everything you ever wanted to know about oil...

From what I can tell the Exxon Superflo oils including high mileage one are non-synthetic. Is that right?

"Limit 4 rebates per household"

Upper-right hand corner of the rebate coupon. Still a HOT deal, I'll be grabbing a case or two tonight.

Thanks!

Exxon/Mobil make the bulk oil for pretty much all other oil "makers" in the us like Castrol and others.

Witht all the new standards oils have to meet today, just about any good name brand oil that is speced for your car/truck will work, as long as it changed enough.

I like 10W30 year round, but if it gets REALLY cold where you live then use 5W30 when it is cold.

Sorry to bump this, but you're saying Valvoline, Castrol, etc. get their oil from their competitor, Exxon?
Even if they did, the crude oil is all the same for any company considering it all comes from the ground, right? It's what the companies do with it that makes it different from another. Pennzoil-Quaker State, that's owned by Shell (and Shell's lines of oil). Castrol, that's owned by BP (and BP's lines of oil). Valvoline is owned by Ashland, Inc. Havoline is owned by Chevron/Texaco (who makes other motor oils too). Then there's the smaller ones, ConocoPhillips (who owns Kendall), Coastal Unilube, Amsoil, etc., and the synthetics like Redline, and Royal Purple.

BTW, I think Shell's Aeroshell is the most widely used aviation oil for piston engines, and BP's syn. for turbine aircraft. Many turbines use Aeroshell syn. too.

BTW, what is peopel?
