What happens if you put an Celeron 850 into a Shuttle AV18E which has a maximum 8X multiplier?
Will it default to an 800 or will it not run at all? BIOS update isn't an option since the multiplier is set with jumpers.
Anyone?

If it's the same kind of chip, same voltage as any other that it would run, it SHOULD just run it at 800. I don't know that chip and board though, so that's just my guess.

Celeron 2 and p3 are multiplier locked which means no matter what your motherboard setting is, the celeron 850 always commands the motherboard to use x8.5 so it should run at 850 with your mobo(which I hope could handle the 1.7v or 1.75v vcore).
