OCZ Diesel 16GB Single Channel Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model OCZUSBDSL16G - Retail
at Newegg . $33.99 - $10 rebate card with Free Shipping. Tax in the usual places.

Small, reasonably fast drive, just not as cheap as last year (was like $18 AR?).

Edit 8/28: now $21 AR. $31 - $10 rebate [Exp 8/31] = $21 with free shipping with coupon code EMCLWNW56 [Exp 9/3].

Edit 8/29: Whoops! Back up to $24 AR.

Yep.. .I got this earlier in the year, but never got a rebate back. YMMV

Bought this a while back as well... I just recently got my rebate... pretty sure it was 2-3 months long ago. Very satisfied with the drive performance... it's not top-notch but it's definitely not crap speeds as I experience before when other drives...

Shipping was $2.99 for me.

It took forever but I finally got all three rebates last time.

I love this drive. It is small and fast. It does get a bit warm when in use, but considering its size, not a major deal, imo. I was able to easily attach the cap with fish line (there is ample space for the knot on the inside of the cap).

Tested by Engineer with the ATTO benchmark, it topped out at 31MB / sec in read and 15MB / sec in write speed.

Thread from the original deal.

I have this drive and like it for the most part. But, as with many large capacity drives the write speeds for small files is pretty slow. Love the form factor though.

Bought 3 of these at different times when the rebates have been going on, and i've had some rotten luck with them. 2 of the drives failed within a month of getting them (say the drive is write protected when trying to copy anything onto them or formatting). sent both drives in, and still waiting to get replacements (been 50 days since they received both, and won't reply to any emails asking when they are going to send them out)

Hope they weren't important files.

Didn't someone have Kingston 16GB flash drives for $20 or $25 shipped free last year right after Black Friday with no rebates? I seem to recall buying 2x16gb and 2x8gb drives for a grand total of $60-something last year.

I had one of the smaller capacity versions of this drive and the casing completely fell apart within a few months of normal use (not abuse). The USB connector and the board/module still work "naked" , believe it or not.
