I played the demo and it seems decent. It is reverse tower defense basically. You navigate through cities using the roads and have to get to a point. On the way you can collect extra resources and can buy more/upgrade current vehicles. The aliens have towers that have different abilities and need to attack from different directions, your vehicles are always moving but you set up way points for where you want them to turn and you can only have so many vehicles at a time.

I bought this back when it was first released.

it's very short, and while fun for a spell...the mechanics kind of wore off on me.

It's fun, and a bit different from the usual fare--there is some unintentional humor.

I still haven't finished it, actually, though it is quite short. I expected more packs and such to be released, but nothing as far as I know.

but at $3, it's worth it to see if you like it. It was $9-10 on release.

Thanks, that must have been added not long ago cause it wasn't there before.

If you could only get 1 or 2 of these, which would be the ones to get?

Europa Universalis 3 is the easiest of the Paradox games to get into but still has plenty of depth and complexity (plus many excellent fan made mods). Then I'd go with Arsenal of Democracy for the WW2 goodness. It's basically HoI2 with a bunch of improvements.

If Darkest Hour is on sale, I'd pick that up instead. It is much faster and has a much more detailed map. That said, either would be a great second choice. It is a nice game to play on my older computers.
