Oooooh, some good titles on sale this weekend. I've completed Alan Wake and Sniper Elite V2, and thoroughly enjoyed both.

Thinking of getting SE v2.

Can anyone tell me why it gets somewhat shitty reviews?

Many of them say that it's linear and boring after a while.

Is this true?

Yes, it is linear, and yes, it is repetitive. The gameplay mostly consists of... well, sniping. :)

It's not so repetitive that it gets dull though. The game puts you in a variety of different levels and locations, and makes you squirm out of different kinds of situations. Sniping isn't all you do either... there's a lot of stealth sections where you take out enemies at point-blank, kill them silently, hide their bodies, etc, etc.

Thanks- that definitely seems consistent with what others have said about it.

Seems worth it at that price.

CLICK. Purchased.

I ran through SE v2 in about 7 hours, It is not "worth" it at 30 bucks, 15-20 it is worth it depending how much you like this type of game.
