everyone I have talked to that got into the beta is saying CS:GO is what CS:S should have been (1.6 with better graphics). It's been nearly a decade since I played CS regularly, but I put in a pre-order for it. You can easily get $13 worth of entertainment out of it.

Original has the graphics of late 1990s Quake engine.

I never got into regular CSS, all I ever really played was the Gun Games modification. Gun Games is a team deathmatch style game.

Except L4D2 just came out three years ago. The latest CS game, on the other hand, is eight years old.

CS deserves an update far more than L4D does. If you want more games in the style of L4D; check out Payday? It's on sale for only $5 right now.
