The display on the dashboard of their Nissan LEAF showed a drop in available range from 100 miles to about 50, when they had only traveled about 40 miles, reported the Gannett-owned newspaper, which also owns USA Today, a cheerleader of all clean energy projects regardless of viability.
Never buy domestic cars.
So you also waste energy to cool and heat batteries? Pathetic.

Expected thread to be about transformers. I'm leaving; disappointed.
Never buy domestic cars.
lol I'd sell that POS if it's on third tranny!Yes, because my parent's Honda minivan is so much better. 160k miles, 3 transmissions.![]()
right. buy Honda. teh cars work but they lie about MPG. they are getting sued because the claim that the car gets 50mpg when in reality it gets high 20's. BTW there are a couple class action (and a bunch of small claims) suits about it.

With that warranty maybe not a bad idea, just sell it at 49k...That was my recommendation but they chose to replace it (just did the replacement before Christmas). The new transmission has a 50k warranty so they figure it should last past 200k when they want to replace it. That should be in about 2 years. Not sure if it was the wisest choice because they could have put the money from the transmission towards another car but it's what they decided to do.
