7will this set up be stable?

I have a 500mhz K7 Athlon on a MSI 6167 mombo (slot A).

It says at MSI that with a bios upgrade I can go up to 1000mhz.

Now it is much cheaper for me to upgrade to a 900 slot A than an 800 duron on a new mombo.

Would the 900 be stable?

Anyone with a big Athlon on a similar mombo have any ideas?

What is the largest cpu anyone else has on one of these original slot A mombos?
 
I'm using the Abit Ka7. I do some overclocking with a K7 700 w/900 core. Currently with WinMe, I cannot boot normally at 900+MHz. With Win98, I could run incredibly stable at 1GHz when using the BIOS to control IRQ's (reset ESCD also), but it took forever for me to learn how to get it to that, and my joystick stopped working as a result. With a V5 5500agp, I get no gaming improvements over 850MHz anyway, so I run at 850 now in winME with everything stable. 1GHz really wasn't noticeably faster at anything anyway.
