7mth old pup off to the emergency clinic

Out running him in a field just a while ago. There's a fenced off wetlands there to. He went into that area and I called him out. He ran right through some covered barbwire from a old fence and tore a 2 inch area in his chest. Just layed it open like a knife cut.

Wife and teens are taking him in now. Some stitches I'm sure. He'll be ok.

He's a German Shorthair Pointer. It'll toughen him up 😉

His shots are current. But he's at the vets now, so I think they'll do what needs to be done if he needs a shot.

Update:

Turned out to be pretty big and deep. Have to go back around midnight ( PST ) to pick him up. They had to put him under to do all the cleaning and stitching.

Hopefully it's not too low or he'll probably have to wear an e-collar.
