The Tbird and Duron should only be used with either the AMD 750 or VIA KT133 chipsets (not the VIA KX133), according to AMD. Most if not all KT133 boards will be Socket A format, I believe. See: http://www.athlonoc.com/slottbird_1.htm
In any event the Slot A format is a dead end, since with the L2 cache on-die now there is no longer a need for the PCB/cartridge format.
