Brand new board..

XP 1900+
256meg Crucial PC2100


It only does this when the CPU is inserted...I have tried everything..

ANY CLUES?


By the way it will not boot at all.No video signal nothing...

I have tried all memory slots..It only occurs when the cpu is inserted..Looks like it may be a Rma?

I think if you don't have any cpu, then it would not give any beeps at all! does not mean that cpu is bad. (I think) cpu is required to give you the beep but I might be wrong also.
What does it do if you put cpu but not any ram?

What zzzz tells you is good stuff. Play musical slots with the RAM. Also try using just one stick, then another. Reinsert a few times to ensure it is "locking" down. If you can beg/borrow/find another "known good" stick of RAM to test, that would help also.

The cpu was running fine in my KT7a-raid..I have an Enermax 430 watt psu, don't think that is it :D

Tis the only stick of ram I have and is the only ddr board I have my other two are sdram based :(

May buy a stick o ram at compusa tommorow and give it a whirl..

A bios flash should solve your problem, if you have version 1.3 of the kt7a-raid. Earlier versions may not work with the xp.

I am not running the Kt7a-raid anymore..Heh :D Mine was revision 1.0 running the 1900+ without a problem...

My problem lies with the Shuttle AK35GTR now :( Getting a stick of memory as soon as CompUsa opens today..
