First My Specs:
Intel E4400 Core Duo at 2.5GHZ
Asus IP 35-e
6 GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2
7950GT BFG Tech
PC Power and cooling 500 watt SLI PS

I have been running a samsung 203b 23" monitor for a long time. I recently got a 40" Polaroid TV (http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Polaroid-TLA-04011C.htm) for next to nothing. I hooked it up to the pc using a DVI to HDMI converter but at the native HD resolution (1360X768) the picture is fuzzy and the fonts etc are too small. Ive been running it at 1280X800 and it has a better picture. The 40"is quite large but I also have a 32" sharp aquos that im considering using. The sharp is a much newer model also.

My question is if I upgrade to a newer HD video card will I see an improvement in the quality of the picture and will I be able to run it at higher resolutions? Also is DVI to HDMI the best connection to use? Thanks for the help.

No, digital is digital, if the signal appears fuzzy and bad fonts, it's likely not the card, but the TV.
I've heard of various problems attempting to use native resolution on an LCD TV through HDMI. You might be better off hooking it up to VGA.
