Hi guys, i have this problem with my gpu and is the throttling, i use radeon pro with overdrive setting and "use always highest perfomance mode" ticked for every game, but from yesterday i see this strange behaviour, happened with trine 2 in 3d, the card throttle from 1150, switching from 925 mhz to 1150 mhz and back after a while that i'm playing! I have updated to latest driver version recently, but this is the second time that i see gpu throttling,, after the first use of my 7950, configuring trixx with force costant voltage, disabled ulps and radeon pro overdrive setting "per game" i never have seen this problem until...now! I don't know what the hell have happen! And both tomb raider and hitman absolution don't let me enable 3d anymore. I have an ue55e7000 samsung 3d tv, and everything was perfectly fine some time ago. Help !!

Powerlimit it's always +20 in radeon setting for every profile game, without this throttling always happen even at very low temps. Clocks are 1150/1575 and voltage are 1.243 but the strange thing is that it was always perfectly stable with 1.231 before i update the driver from 13.11 beta 9 to 13.12. There are difference between drivers about overclock stabililty and voltage ? Temps can vary in full load from be 65° to 70° max! And i could play tomb raider with tress fx and 2xssaa with gpu at 95 °load with 70 temps without any problem for hours. Seems like the powerlimit does not apply correctly o something like this!

here the throttling in action, you can see the clock go from 1150 to 1053 until touch 925 and come back like crazy! :(

Yeah..it gets kinda wackity...mine was like that until i tuned the powerplay/tdp limit..
I used this: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/vbe7-vbios-editor-for-radeon-hd-7000-series-cards.189089/

you'll need a bootable DOS flash drive..

save both your stock BIOSes in 2 separate places. ;)

What I did..was..tweak a little...see if framerates improve with 30-second furmark..if not, adjust powertune/tdp limit until everything's even and FPS is scaling with clocks.
hmm.too bad files can't be uploaded here.

but the problem is that it act in this way from...yesterday! I play from months and everything was perfect, totally perfect stable clocks! I don't understand! :(

Mine wont go past 1100 @ +20 powerlimit. Mine needs 1.118v to run at that speed. 1150 is pretty dang good with the limit set to +20. I notice once in awhile the voltage with go back to 1.125v on its own which pushes me past the +20 limit and it will start throttling. These Sapphire boost cards tend to have really leaky chips that suck the power!

i never used furmark, because i prefer to see if the overclock is stable while i'm gaming. I suppose it's necessary ? And can you tell me what kind of values are you using ?

i have played with 1200/1500 with 1281 core voltage and 70-71 temps! Without any problem! I'm using the 2 bios from sapphire, so it's already oc to 925 mhz and the core is 1.169....how i can see if the voltage drops in game ? I use force costant voltage in trixx but i don't know how to see the voltage in game. Msi afterburner don't have this option...

Open GPU-Z ..go to the sensor tab..start game..look for fluctuations.
