So i have this Sapphire 7950 http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&pid=1841&lid=1

I have 2 Asus Vn248H monitors and 1 Viewsonic VX2025Wm.

-I have the center Asus VN248H connected HDMI-HDMI
-I have the right Asus Vn248H connected HDMI-DVI (HDMI on monitor, DVI on the video card. 1 cable, no adapter)
-I have the left Viewsonic VX2025WM connected by DVI-DVI

with around 30 minutes playing around with ATI CCC, I can only get the primary + the left monitor or the primary + right monitor. Although the program detects i have 3 monitors connected, it seems I am only able to use 2.

Please let me know if i am not being clear, any help would be great

your problem is a classic problem with piss poor documentation. the third monitor (up to 6) has to be connected via the display port output.

if the monitor supports display port too. no adapter needed. a display port hub necessary for monitor 4-6.

if the monitor does not support display port. needs an "ACTIVE" adapter. another $30.

One of the monitors must be hooked up with displayport to get 3 monitors to work on that card.

Just a side note if you cheep out. All dp->vga adapters are active. I've gotten a few for 3-5 bucks.

NOOOOOO!

As stated above it must be an active adapter.

Monoprice does not seem to carry a regular displayport to dvi active adapter.

All display port to VGA adapters are active.

Here are some examples of active dvi/hdmi adapters. (note some have bad ratings)
