but can't say I know the the answer...

...so to see the full performance benefits from the dual GPU on the 7950 GX2, does the game your playing need to support SLI?

also, anyone using it with the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe?

Game doesnt have to support SLI. But I believe Nvidia needs a profile for the driver to achieve its fullest capability.

And for any game that doesnt support it, you can probably bet that the card will still be fast enough to run smoothly. ;)

I asked this question to Gary Key: he said something like, "SLI profiles are used whenever available (better optimizations) but are not required for SLI operation."

On my 2 7900GT's when I run them in SLI I have the "SLI rendering mode" set to "Auto-Select". That will use the SLI profile when availible, but it defaults to SFR when no profile is availible. (and you can also create profiles)
