Just wanna thank all the AT users who tought me all I know about video cards over the time here (not that long I know)

I was wondering how 2 of these cards at gtx speeds fare in SLI..

If similar to having two gtx's, that would be a great idea for a high end gaming rig no?

And how much more power would that consume?

Im asking because I'm building my first gaming rig, I already bought the vid card (x1900xt) hard drives (2x120gb raid0 sata) and psu (antec truepower2 550) and I was wondering if getting the x1900xt was smart, I will be playing on a FW900 which is best played at 1920x1200 resolution, and I would like the framerates to never go below 30.

Thanks

I'm hopefully going to be doing this tonight.
So I'll post results later on.

2 7900 Gt's voltmodded to 1.5v and memory to 2.21(?), two Zalman VF900's.

I have one question though, how the hell do you use a Multimeter?
I bought one, but I was under the impression you stick some sort of pointer in to a hole in the 7900 GT PCB to geta reading, but the multimeters have to points on them, does that mean they have to be attached to two seperate points of the 7900 GT PCB?

If someone could link me to the 7900 Voltmodding Anand thread I'd be really grateful.

lets see

HERE

and

HERE

read through both those threads they should help. and by far the easest tutorial is THIS concise version that came out a week or two after everything else. On a side note its not necessary to do the mem volt mod as the real world performance gain from having 1700mhz mem or 1900mhz mem is nonexistant because the 7900 series is soooo core clock hungry. if u DO do it then make sure u get some ranksinks on the ram voltage regulators cuz they get REALLY hot. i run mine at 650/1950 the RAM is that high only for bragging rights lol.
