7900GT Volt Mod

How difficult would it be to to a volt mod on an eVGA 7900GT? Right now I am OC'd to 575MHz/900MHz. What do you think I can expect after a volt mod?

It's fairly easy. Just make sure you find a good guide. The volt mod will mean that the chip will run hotter all the time. If you have the means to cool it, that's no problem. (That Zalman VF900-cu should do a fine job.) You might get another 50-75 Mhz out of the card, more if you're lucky.

Edit: Here's a guide.

Thanks for the link. I think I will try the volt mod this weekend. I have all the parts now to do it. It's just doing it and not screwing this up that makes me nervous.

Your welcome. 🙂

Just go slow, triple check your work, and you'll be fine. Good luck.
