7900GT in the Vista system or XP?

Just bought a used 7900GT and am deciding if I should put it in my Vista System or XP. They both have similar specs as far as CPU and memory. I heard Vista ain't as good right now as XP but am wondering if its bad enough I should go ahead and put it in the XP system. I really don't want to switch it around alot.

Some games I will be playing are Company of Heros, Prey, Quake 4, CS:S, STALKER ,Neverwinter Nights 2 and the newest Splinter Cell.

I second this. Being a DX9 card, ALL of your games/apps will run perfectly under XP. Under Vista, there are still various performance/compatibility issues, although great strides have been made, and more soon to come!
