7900GT and 0 fps in 3dmark06

Throughout the lower batch size triangle tests, I'm getting 0-2 FPS tests with all the settings turned down. The higher # of triangle tests run fine at 30-40 fps. I'm concerned it might even be artifacting, as it appears sort of like motion blur. Is this normal?

I looped it 5 times on the benchmark and it went through, the final score was 6049 marks in 1024x768 with no AA/AF on, if that helps.

I get an avg of 2fps on the CPU tests (or close to that) so if the test uses the CPU then yea, it should be ~0

Wait, what does it exactly do to demand that much from the CPU?!?!? I'm pretty sure mine would get -15 FPS on test... 😉 (3.2 GHz P4 Northwood)

Rendering video is a very specialized task, thus the reason for video cards - if you tried using software rendering like they do for that test, ALL your games would run that slow.

Uhh you would get 0-1 FPS on those CPU tests.

You're fine. CPU's get about that in that bench. Hence to show the reason and need for dedicated graphic processing units.
