7900GS or 1950 pro

Hi Im just about to buy a new card just to keep waiting till the 8800 series go mainstream.

My mobo is an asus a8n sli premium, cpu is AMD 3700+ san diego and 1gb (2x512) OCZ EL Platinum Rev2 DDR400.

So Im between the Evga Geforce 7900GS KO (I can get it at 160$) and the ATI radeon 1950 pro (I can get it at 200$).....so which I should go for?? please if you wanna detailed your answer (ex: which card works better with my mobo and cpu and ram) be my guest....

Ive just seen this card. XFX PVT71PUDD3 GeForce 7900GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card. and for what Ive been researching the 7900GS overclocked at these speeds is faster than the 1950 pro. This card is clocked at 600mhz/1600mhz and its priced at 180$ please help what would you do.

That XFX 7900 is one of the fastest of it's class. There will not be a huge difference in performance between that particular model and the x1950pro. So the bottom line really is your personal preference.

I personally would go with the 7900 as i'm partial to nvidia's drivers myself.

But you can't go wrong with either one.
