7900GS Nvidia 93.71 H.264 Support?

I'm using the latest version of Nero Showtime (3) and the 93.71 drivers. I have Enable hardware Acceleration ticked in Showtime and am noticing an actual INCREASE in CPU utilization compared to software mode. Running the BBC Motion Gallery: Japan 1080P clip I get CPU utilization as high as 83% in hardware acceleration mode, but never as high as 75% with software acceleration mode. What gives guys?

I'm using a Leadtek 7900GS btw.

What CPU? It must sport SSE2 or better.

Try CyberLink too... better performance and is not restricted to a proprietary player.

Core 2 Duo @3Ghz. I have the power to do this all in software mode, but it'd be nice if the GPU could assist.
