Basically I have the latest Nvidia official drivers. Compared to XP, in Vista video quality is worse. At full screen, all videos start to act like slideshows for some reason(around 10fps)
With 4 media players showing a video, cpu increases to about 90%.
Different artifacts show during play. Much more pixelated quality during video play.

Is it normal with Vista or should I do something?

I'd uninstall the video drivers & reload them. I've got an evga 7900gs and there are no issues in Vista.

I've had in XP the overlays have bad colorbanding and color shifted to a deep red. Uninstalling & reinstalling the drivers fixed that issue.

I've notice that purevideo only works in software mode in vista. Don't know if that is related to your problem. What video codecs are you using?
