OOS everyplace else I looked except mwave who has it for $319.
Price has gone way up since the first day it became available. I paid $249 shipped at ZZF a month ago.

I got in on the deal for $253 at Newegg on Sunday night. Early the next morning when i checked my order it had been sold out. It has been sold out of every other online merchant I checked since Monday. Looks like this past weekend was your last chance.

At $253 I'd get the 7900GTO since it only loses to the X1900XT 256MB by a few fps and it has a quieter heatsink/fan. At $319 I'd just get the X1900XT256 and maybe a Zalman VF900 to keep it quiet.

The best price you could get it at was $239.99 on the one day special (10-13-06) at Chiefvalue.

Doesn't matter that you can't find them. Next month when G80 is released, the true 7900GTX will be that price :)

there's no way the 7900gtx will drop that low. They've dropped card prices in the past apon the release of it's replacement, but there's no way you'll see a 7900gtx for $150 less than they sell now. My guess is they'll stay exactly where they're at. You can still buy 7800gtx 512's brand new for $645 (granted, from price gouging ebay stores). Nobody's going to buy at that price. Thats only $100 less than what they retailed on release. I do, however completely understand that these prices are being set by vendors who bought too many, not by the vid card manufacturers themselves.

That said, I'm completely extatic that I ordered mine on sunday night as well! Hopefully I don't end up with bad memory :p

That's the one I got in on! Happened to see it pop up in Hot Deals on 10/12 and hopped on it on 10/13. It was a lucky find...

Tigerdirect (in Canada tho) still has them. They had a HUGE sale on for $260 CAN but now they're back up to regular price of $320 CAN, still in stock too.

Just FYI for any Canucks out here.......NCIX and DirectCanada might have them too ;)

Update: I've been told that EVGA is "trying" to manufacture more 7900GTOs. Looks like there will be some more for sale before it's all over.

A 7900GTX may not drop that low, but a faster 8800 card may be at the same rpice. Recall the 7800GTX which was beat by the lower proced 7900GT.
