7900 GT vs. X1950 PRO

Which one is faster, cooler, and quieter?

Gigabyte 7900 GT Has a Zalman-like cooler. Clocks 625/1440.

HIS X1950 PRO Cooler looks effective. Clocks 620/1480

The thing though is the Gigabyte 7900GT has much faster clocks than the one Anandtech uses to test. Thats why I think it's so close.

X1950 Pro is overall a better card then a 7900GT... true its not a huge difference & there are a few games that the GT is faster in, but a better comparision is the 7950GT which sells for about $60 more on average.

I think the Gigabyte 7900 GT is nearly the same as a 7950 GT.

7950 GT core is 4.8% faster but Gigabyte 7900 GT memory is 2.9% faster, except only 256MB.

Plus the 1950 will support HDR and AA at the same time, no 7 series will do that. Also, the 7900's tend to run hot, which will probably affect your fan speeds, thus your noise.
