Why does the 7900gt have such a small cooler that doesnt cover the ram?

Which one is actually better?

7900gt is better i dont think they make the 7800gtx any more coz the 7900gt gives better performance and is cheaper.

7900 GT is faster, (Both core and RAM), OCs much farther, is cooler and uses less voltage/power. There is not on advantage to the GTX.

You can get the 7900gt KO that has a heatsink that covers everything (memory chips included). The normal and CO do not.

the GT is like.. silent, and it can have 512mb RAM. You wont find a 512mb GTX for the price of a GT either.

For the most part, I think the 7900GT is better. Yes, you can have a 7800GTX 512 but I don't know how the price compares.

7900GT is a die-shrunk, cheaper version of the 7800GTX...thats also lower priced.

otherwise identical completely, sans the cooler.
