678 / 1986 on my 7900 GT was stable as ever. Until about 2 days ago when while playing games my computer would reboot about 1 or 2 minutes once the game was started. It turns out my trusty Fortron Blue Storm was the problem. I found this out by adding another power supply to the system, and then the crashing stopped.

Looks like Ill be in the market for a beefy single rail power supply. Ive got 2x IDE HD / 2x IDE ROM and the rest is in my sig. Are there any smoken hot deals out there on good power supplies at the moment?

$40 is a good deal, but I was hopeing to go with a single rail PS. I think dual rail may be part of my problem that I am having now.

Was the PSU faulty or just couldn't handle the card overclocked?? The Blue Storm is 500w right??

I see that the amps are split over 2 rails...is this very bad or is a dual rail usually good enough??

Power supply has run without issue until I bump up my video overclock. I can do the same video overclock with a 2nd power supply in the mix with no problems.

I've seen mixed reviews on dual rail power supplys but, it seems that almost all of the good brands top power supplys are 2 3 and 4 rail versions. I'm a bit confused about this as well.
