7900 GT in short supply?

I've been trying to build a system based on this card and I can't seem to find it anywhere. NewEgg is out of stock on all 7900 GT's, as well as other vendors I've checked. Anybody have any news on this card as to supply availability?

The eVGA cards are hard to find I know that much. Is that the brand you looking for? Monarch has some, or did. Not sure if they still do. They also have some other brands as well.
 
It's been in short supply since it was released as far as i know. Check around on other sources than newegg. Or get a X1800XT/X1900XT
 
I bought my XFX 7900GT Extreme Edition from a private seller and basically paid close to retail. No regrets because there was no wait.
 
just keep checking newegg they will get some in stock I just bought one yesterday the biostar or whatever it is for 299... they sold out in 2 hours tops lol... but they'll get more I assure you just keep checking it. Sometimes they even put an ETA.
 
That's sad. I thought I saw some XFX and BFG on sale at Monarch and NewEgg yesterday.
BTW did you consider the 1800xt for almost the same price?
 
Put yourself on a back in stock alert for as many cards from as many vendors as possible. Remember zipzoomfly.com. They're awesome.

No doubt for a absurd price. I saw a 7800GT in a Best Buy for $370 when it was going for a hundread less on newegg.

The availability for the 7900GT cards is nothing short of pitiful. Nvidia pulled a ATI. 🙁 Oh well. Go with a X1800XT for $289 instead.
 
They're in stock at other etailers. Newegg just happens to be a popular one here at AT that everyone checks first. Mwave have some GT's in stock albeit for $360. They also have GTX's in stock for $599. Check on pricewatch, pricegrabber, froogle for alternate etailers.
 
Monarch has Gigabyte 7900GT cards listed. Gigabyte makes a good product.

Thanks for the help all. Best Buy now has them backordered. I have a feeling that it won't be anytime soon that I'll be geting my hands on one. Gotta keep looking though.
