Well, some of Nvidias latest drivers already have the 7900 GTX Go in their compatability list.
So I should think very soon, especially now that ATI's new mobile GPU has had its showing.

But then again, Nvidia have just released mobile SLI. So perhaps because of that they will hold back on the 7900 GTX Go release?

I'm not at all interested in SLI for my laptop since my 6800 go ultra already runs hot enough and draws a lot of power, I'd hate to see what SLI does. However, since the 7900 die is pretty small and runs cool, it would be perfect for the laptop. The 7800 was pin compatible with an XPS2 and since the 7900 is a die shrunk version of it, I'm hoping it works as well.

I'd say they should completely end the 7800 Go line (GTX at the very least) and replace with a 7900 Go line, since the 7900's are better power wise (especially if they do a lower clocked one than the 7900GT).

Thats because the 6800 ultra is a beast. The 7800 line requires significantly less power and produces less heat.

Anyone have an idea when this might come around? Hopefully it's pin compatible with an XPS2/M170 laptop.

Assuming it's MXM it should be compatible. I'd expect sometime in April/May for availability, assuming they make it. They may just skip it altogether and go with a G80 based solution.
