I purchased this case and the Channel well technology 420 watt cpu. Even though newegg says its amd approved. It seems to me I can't get it to work in any of my amd 1.4 higher systems. I know its probably a bad psu but was wondering if anyone else has had problems with it.

Thanks

If you plugged it in and the PSU won't run then yeah I'd say it doesn't work.. but....

You could also make sure for certain by using the paper clip shorting technique here into allowing the PSU to turn on without the motherboard in case that's the real problem..

<< While we're at it, you can power up an ATX power supply by shorting the green wire with any black ground wire. As you know, the ATX power supply will not turn on normally without a motherboard connected to it. There are times when you may want to test an ATX power supply or use the voltage from one but don't really want to hook up a motherboard. There's only one green wire and there are plenty of ground wires so it's easy to do. To use a bent paper clip and insert one end in the green wire connector and bend it around and put it into a black wire connector. >>

I've done this before and it works fine for testing a PSU real quick..

I only have my case so far (Chieftec w/ 420 watts) and would like to test it. But that makes me nervous.
