I asked him to do that earlies, his refs were not steller. Ebay profile suspended, 1 Yahoo, 0 heatware.
 

That's what Heatware is for....or even eBay refs.....

I agree, if you are that worried about it, you might want to figure another way to finish the deal....
 
Well, he justified everything to me.
eBay, he said he didn't pay a listing fee, so they suspended him.
He said that he just claimed his Heatware 3 days ago, so they are not up...
You tell me.
 
A background check? A freaking background check?! What, heatware isn't good enough? 😕 If you're selling something that needs a background check, chances are that item should probably be sold somewhere else...

I have not used Ebay for over a year and owe them $12. Just never paid it.
I am waiting for heatware to move over my refs I just applied for the move 3
days ago. I am very reluctant to ship first, as this is how I got screwed
before (he had over 60 refs). I tell you what, I will ship first with out
the $200 check. When I get the laptop I will just paypal you the money. That
way I will have time to Xfer the money to paypal and will feel better about
the deal. I think this is a fair deal. If you like I can call you to talk
about this.

 
if somebody has zero Heat they'd be shipping or paying me first, be careful out there !

Sounds fairly reasonable...and since the case is that he lost his heat and not that he never had any, ask him to give you a few names of *established/reputable* traders on this board who can vouch for him

Finally...I've found Ebay feedback to be worth close to nil on this board...
