7870 cooling - What needs heatsinks other than the VRAM?

The cooler on the XFX DD 7870 Black isn't the best - it can be loud and doesn't cool that well. So I'm looking at a new Twin Turbo II cooler to replace it.

It comes with heatinks to put on the VRAM, voltage regulator, etc. Other than the 8 for the VRAM, I'm at a loss as to which components I should put heatsinks on.

Looking at that image of the XFX 7870, what needs heatsink(s)?

What does the original xfx heatsink make contact with? That should be the bare minimum. The power regulators also get hot.

you want to cool those 5 mosfets on the left if you can, but you should be fine without cooling them though since there are 5 of them for such a small gpu

thats what they look like(a burnt one on a gtx590):
