i have win 7 64 with amd 12.3 drivers. i have a sapphire 7850 i purchased a little over a week ago.
at first no problems, then i started noticing random fps reductions in games unless i restarted the computer. now i'm seeing when the monitor shuts off after 15 minutes of idle, the video card won't wake up. if i press the restart button, it sounds as if it starts then shuts off, then starts again...maybe not recognizing the card on the first start?
i was using gpu tweak by asus to OC the card a little, nothing extreme and would run stable. it seems to not respond more when the OC is enabled, but it has not responded when there is no OC at all as well, so i'm not sure if the OC is the problem or if that is merely coincidence.
does it sound like a bad card? maybe the drivers? i just don't know if i should send it back or not. thanks.
