Update May 16th

Woke up this morning to more stability issues after leaving the PC on all night, running stock..

I have RMA'd the 2nd card and am sending it back.

Sticking with the one original card, this has really turned me off from Crossfire... and I'm happy with the performance of one card overclocked. (Plus my original O/C's much better)

I was about to pull the trigger on a single 670, but after much thought, I've actually been very pleased with the performance of my original 7850 and just decided to sit on that.

Sorry for the back and fourth, but its packed up and being dropped off today. :)

Think I should be able to push Crysis II and BF3 at Ultra @ 1080p?

I recently bought both games...I haven't played either yet. Too many games to play in my Steam/Origin accounts.

Been playing a lot of MLB2K12 and MW3 lately.... and my single 7850 was able to push those games quite easily, so looking forward to some eye candy.

Probably best bang for buck highend without seeing any results. I mean afterall 7850 is best low end card, two, oced 40-50% - oh yeah. However please tell us about microstutter, lags or any other performance anomalies dual cards do. After 295 I said never again but I'm very sensitive to stuff like that same reason I hate LCDs.

Yeah you'll have no problem maxing out BF3 and Crysis 2 at 1080p.

U will be fine even at 1440p if you reduce/remove aa

And acc to that review even a 7970 oc will be just under 580 sli or nearly as fast as 7850 cf stock

I'll never go 1440p again.

I actually use my 1080p Plasma 90% of the time as my monitor. No issues at all. I prefer to game on the big screen in a lazy boy about 6 feet away.

I used to own a 27" Dell Ultrasharp @ 2560x1440 and my poor eyes couldn't take it. (powered by a 965BE @ 4.0GHz with a 5970 + 5870 Trifire) I know I could zoom, etc, but my eye sight just isn't that great, so I prefer 1080/1200p

It all depends on the scaling. I read a review comparing GTX 680 SLI with 7970 Crossfire, and the scaling was generally around 60% which I found a disappointment.

I will probably go with a 7850 Crossfire setup at some point as well, though. The cards are only going to get cheaper and the 2gb of vram is perfect (for now).

What's the best price for a 7850 right now? Is the ASUS okay or keep looking for a Sapphire?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you.
