I am building a system that will be primarily used for gaming, and for media content. I was thinking of installing Windows Media Center as my OS, but I understand that there are no 7800GTX drivers available. Is this true? SHould I go XP Professional instead?

I will be hooking this system up to my home network, with an Xbox 360 connected as a Media Xtender.

System Overview: X2 4800+, Asus A8N32-SLI, WD Raptor + 3x250GB drives, 2 MB Corsair 3500LL, (2) 7800GTX 512's in SLI, SB XFI

Thanks!

Thanks rbV5...

I think I may have gotten confused. Perhaps it is the SLI drivers that are missing. I checked the SLI driver link on nVidia's site, and saw only XP options. Will 7800's work in SLI with Media Center? Thanks again.

Dunno for sure, but SLI support was added with v72.14 Media Center drivers, so perhaps?

I have a 7800GT and MCE. Don't even bother with the "MCE" drivers from Nvidia. Use the regular XP drivers. MCE is just an applett in XP Pro and doens't require the other drivers. THe only difference is that the MCE drivers from Nvidia include a means to adjust settings from within the MCE shell, which, espically in your case, is not necessary.
