7800GTX Temps

Hey, was just wondering if someone could tell me what are good temps for a 7800GTX 256MB card that is completely stock and no OC. I have a EVGA and I know cooling solutions are different, but I am just trying to see if mine are running hotter than normal.

I have two in SLI and the top card is at 52C and the bottom card is at 56C. Any info would be appreciated. These temps are idle at the desktop.

I think that's rather high for idle temps?? Your temps should be around 38 and 41 degrees celsius on idle, those look like full load temps but I could be wrong. I have 2 7800GT in SLI and they reach 56C on full load and 61C at the highest. My advice would be to check the airflow of your case fans, either way your temps aren't completely out of the norm... I think the card throttles around 145C........

I have 2 7800 GTX KOs and they idle around 52ish and reach 72-78 on full load. Everything is working fine so I'm not worried

I do have great airflow in my case, it has plenty of fans. Temps are about the same Phantom, so I think maybe im alright, i hope.

Apples to oranges comparison. You can't compare the GT to the GTX.

Those temps are fine, and within norms, Shooks.

Well they looked high to me for idle temps, but I also didn't realize that they were GTX's.........Sorry about that...

MY eVGA 7800 GTX KO idles at 41 C, but it is watercooled. Therefore, I would imagine that an air-cooled card probably idles at 51-55 C or so.

My bfg 7800gt idles around 47-50C with fan on like low speed.

Ive never really cared about temps too much on video card, because really, it has a lifetime warranty...If it dies, id just replace it.
