7800GTX prices are dropping. So are other cards.

WooHoo. Interesting to see this without competition but I guess NVIDIA wants to sell some cards before ATI can get their next gens out.

I updated it. Will probably change again in another day.

They are under $500 now.

Anyone besides Dell have them for under $500? I don't see any on pricewatch.

pricewatch sort of sux lately, I dunno why, but they don't seem to get the lowest prices anymore.

How many pipes do you guys think the 7800 NonGTX will have on it, and how much you think it will cost?

20 pipes, $350 probably. I'm baseing this on the 7800GT claims of 20 pipes and $400. The 7800NU will probably clocked quite a bit lower as well.

i feel sorry for all the "gotta-have-it-now" nVidia fanboys who snatched their stock G70's up at over $600 a pop for nothing more than a graphics board and a few demos.

Why would you feel bad for someone who has the money to do such a thing? Esspecially ifs its one of their favorite hobby's?

Maybe it's because he can just barely afford a 6600, and can't image someone who could make enough that could afford 2 7800GTXs?

Damn! This is good 🙂
I was thoroughly unimpressed when these launched at $600.

I don't care how well they do, $600 is sickenly expensive.

I hope the Canadian prices follow suit, cause right now, we are still @ $775 Cdn., when according to the exchange rate, our prices should be around $615 :|

Ever heard the expression, "time is money"? Last year I got a 6800GT for $400 as soon as I could. They didn't drop significantly in price for 6 months, and all the while everyone was talking about mythical price drops that didn't happen. This time, the top card dropped 10-20% in a month. You win some, you lose some.

Let me know when those people actually get their cards from Dell. Last I heard, expected delivery was sometime in Sept. Who you think will ship first, ATI with R520 or Dell with these GTX's..?

Not exactly sure what you mean by "nothing more than a graphics board and a few demos" either... All I wanted was a new video card..? I don't wear the shirt eVGA sent me, and I haven't installed BF2 after playing the demo... In all fairness, that is because I've become a WoW adict...

(last time I said I didn't play a bundled game, I got a flood of PM's... I will not sell the game. I keep all retail parts to video cards, since I plan on resale when I buy.)

whats so good about WoW? I played for 3 months and quit. Its soooooooo repetitive and boring. All the PKing gets old.

It's WoW man, Iz so aw3z0mez!111!!11.

I don't know anybody that played more than 6 months, and nobody should, in their right minds.
