7800GTX or 2 7800GT.... but here's the thing..

Ok, i know all of you will be saying 2 GT's but here's the thing. I have about 400-500$ to spend. I could, get a used GTX for around 375$ or get a brand new GT for 305$. See the thing is, the supply for a used GT has dissapeared this month on this forum. When i didnt have the money, i have several offers for the GT at around 250$, and now i got the cash, nobody is selling them here. So i'm deciding whether to buy a used 7800GTX for 375$ or just get the brand new GT for 305$ or wait until somebody sells their GT for around 250$ or wait for the next gen.

It's the last thing i need to complete my gaming rig.

2GB Corsair 3200C2
PCPC 510W SLI
Swiftech H20 Extreme WC Kit
Dell 2005FPW

*If you have a single or 2 EVGA GT's that you want to sell, i will buy them for around 250$ each*
(of course with proper credibility and from a respected trader)

 

Just get the GT and invest the rest of the money.

Well SLI really isn't really a good investment unless you get 2 cards from the start. So either get 2xGT now or go with a single GT/GTX and upgrade when next gen rolls around . . .

Just get a new eVGA 7800 GT and trade it up when G71 arrives.

You'll probably never end up getting another card anyway. Get the GTX now and then upgrade when the time comes.

you can get a gt for less then 305 if you keep a look out. newegg.com has good deals once inawhile on 7800's. if you take advantage of rebates and free games like COD2 or quake 4 you could sell those on ebay and end up spending not too much in the end.
