7800GTX + nTune Problems

Hey guys,

When I built my computer late last month, I was able to view information about my eVGA 7800 GTX within nTune, including temperature and bus speeds. Once I finished my system, I reformated and decided to use the latest ForceWare drivers, 81.85, since it was a pretty big driver upgrade. However, I can no longer view any information regarding my GPU within nTune. Is there a step I may be missing? (EDIT: This is all with nTune 2.05.09. )

Also, I've been looking at some of the screenshots online from other setups involving GTXs, and found some difference compared to my setup. For example, in this photo from a post earlier by Marcdaddy, the Nvidia settings tab within Windows (not nTune) has the following options: Additional information, Clock frequency settings, Additional information, and Refresh rate overrides. But, I don't have any of those options on my setup. What gives? (EDIT: Thanks to Rage187 for the answer. Apparently I needed CoolBits)

Thanks a bunch in advance. Peace.

You had me worried there for a minute.

Okay, to see whats he's looking at in that Screen shot do this:

On the Windows Desktop (ie no Windows opened) Right-Click on the background and select Properties. Select "Settings", then "Advanced" on the next Window. Click on the Geforce GTX Tab - and there you go.

That's the only place I've ever seen that info. I'm using the 78.xx Drivers (I think), and all I've ever seen with NTune is the temps for the GTX.

Hope I'm not misunderstanding what you're looking at or asking.

Yeah, I think you are misunderstanding me :)

I have the GeForce 7800 GTX tab, and there are a few options under it. However, I don't have the four options listed above (Additional information, Clock frequency settings, Additional information, and Refresh rate overrides). Everything else is there as usual. Hopefully that clears it up.

You were throwing me off when you said NTune, as I've never seen any of that info with that program - mainly just CPU & Memory clocking stuff.

That's odd that they would delete that . . . . maybe they've got in a Sub-Menu somewhere now.

EDIT:

Sheesh, I just looked at my Geforce Tab - I don't have all the options on mine that is shown there either

This is on the 512MB GTX though, maybe this is new stuff ?

My post has two questions, one about nTune, and one about the 7800GTX advanced settings. nTune does not show any of that info. I should edit my first post to be more clear... I didn't transition into that very well.

With nTune the only GTX info I've seen is with "Monitor my System", is that what you're talking about ?

Also, did you see my edit above ?

Just saw the edit...

Mine is a 256MB GTX. Perhaps those options are new to the 512MB... time for some more research. Good catch.

As for the nTune... yes, I'm talking about the monitor my system section. My GPU temps used to be in there, but now I just see my CPU and MB.

Also, under the main nTune system tuning section, where you can change RAM speeds and whatnot, there is a section for GPU clock and memory speeds. I used to be able to use those sliders, but now they are grayed out.
