7800GTX issue

I just built a new system with a 7800GTX 256 card...I have my desktop resolution set to 1280 x 960 @ 85 hz...how do I lock this 85 hz so that when I play games that my refresh rate will not drop to 60 hz in XP...with my old ATI card there was an option in the video card properties to make your refresh rate "same as desktop" when gaming...is there a similar option with Nvidia cards??

Most games usually have a hz setting either ingame on in the config file.

Get a program called Reforce. It will force a refresh rate. Hence the name Reforce.

there should be a feature in the nvidia control panel

it's called "refresh rate override"

I believe he meant RefreshForce.
If you wanna use a program instead of the control panel.
Either way works fine.

that doesn't come as part of the standard Nvidia drivers...I think you need to install Coolbits for that to work but that seems like a nice idea...

ATI's regular control panel comes with a refresh rate override setting
