7800GTX (256mb) SLI or a Single X1900XT ?

Is there any benefit going SLI with these two "lesser" cards over using a Single ATI X1900XT?

My PSU is powerful enough to handle both, but I cannot go crossfire since I have an Nforce4 SLI16 board...

I would say SLI, but I don't know everything ....

EDIT: Oopps I glanced at the 512 geforce cards.... looks like you should go with the X1900

I would get a 7900 GT for now and when the prices drop even further get another 7900 GT. I use 2 7800 GT cards from EVGA which come factory OCed and they work great. Bought one new on sale for 265 a few months ago and got the second one barely used for like 230. So for under 500 bucks I great gaming. My only regret is not waiting for the better 7900 GT cards, but my philosophy is buy now when its affordable, otherwise you can wait forever for the next "great" thing to come along.

I would get a single 7900 GTX and then later you can just get another one in a year or so
