7800gt/x that fits in an abit ax8 mobo?

Just after finding out that the BFG 7800gt does not fit in my new abit ax8 as 4 resistors on the motherboard are in the way and the resistors on the 7800gt (far end of the card) are clashing with resistors on the mobo. So i need advice on which card to buy next so has any got the ax8 and bought a 7800gt/x and has successfully installed it? URGENT response required as i need to order the replacement tomorrow as at the moment i have a newly built PC with no graphics card, does it get any worse than this?
 
I just bought the board. I have been reading up and looking at pictures and it seems all the 7800gt cards have a small resistor at the very bottom right of the card but weirdly enough the gtx cards do not have this so looks like i am splashing out again. Man life sucks soo bad sometimes, just when i thought i got a good deal with the bfg card i end up spending a £100 more.
