7800gt vs 7900gt

Just wondering if there are any benchmarks out there that compare these two cards...

the 7900GT is almost identicle to a 7800GTX so check out the anandtech review or any others that have a 7800GT and GTX and you will have your answer.


But here is a review with both a 7800GT and 7900GT.

EDIT: Just keep in mind HardOCP has the weird practice of posting "comparable" quality/resolution settings, so in most of the review they have the 7900GT at a higher resolution or with more AA/AF than the 7800GT and it is still faster.

Cool, thanks. In that case... its probably worth it to take up evga's 'step up program' and send back my 7800gt for a 7900gt.

Almost every review with a 7900GT also has a 7800GT in the tests.

I was thinking about doing eVGA's step up program, but it's only good if you do it within three months of purchasing your original eVGA card.
