The general word on the street is that the GTX is hardly better then the GT for the extra $150 for 1280x960 and below. Well, what about gaming in 1920x1200 @85htz? My FW900 can actually handle 2304x1440, but I doubt many video cards can even output games in that resolution so 1920x1200 is my goal. With that said, I don't really play games like Fear. While I enjoy Half Life 2 and other titles, World of Warcraft is my main focus. So is it worth investing in a GTX?

You should give me the fw900, and buy a dell LCD like everyone seems to be doing. :)

But seriously, the difference in performance between a gtx and a gt is not that much - certainly not worth the extra $150. You can OC the gt to gtx levels, but that's beside the point. For games like WOW and HL2 both the gt and the gtx should play it well at 19x12. But for more stressful games like FEAR and COD2, neither one will play it smooth at that resoluton. So I'd save the money and get a gt - and use the money for a newer and faster card when you need it.

Thanks for the advice.
