Hexus has been floating rumors that the 7900GTX and GT will be hard launched during or around CeBit (March 9-15).

R580 already undermass productions since late dec... in store soon :! like 26th mass launch

Ironic don't you think

lol.. even anandtech http://www.anandtech.com/tradeshows/showdoc.aspx?i=2669&p=9

" the new ATI video card will be launching soon. Vendors tell us that they already have GPUs and completed cards this time around and therefore, product will be on the shelves at launch. Specifications hint that this may well be the new top-end video card, outperforming even the 7800GTX 512, which appeared in small quantities in what nVidia is now calling "limited release", and which has now disappeared from the market."

Great. after you pay $400 or $800 For SLI, they start talking about directx10 and newer video cards 2 months after your huge investment. I know you guys get pissed off but what can we do right???

i am hopping the x1900xl beat up a x1800xt :) then it would be awesome card to buy :) since x1800xl/x1800xt will be phased out this month. which means by early feb or mid the x1900xl should sell arround $350~ or even $300 :)

Talking about phasing out cards- both for SLI and Xfire, you need the same model cards to run both, how long do you think the manufacturers should support a given model? Say I buy a 1800XT today and want to add another in 5-6months or 1 year even but they have been discontinued?

I have a 7800GT and think it would be stupid to buy a card now that does NOT support DX10. But I only upgrade once every year.

I'm not all that worried about DX10. By the time DX10 is actually worth using in games (let alone required to play!), there will be alot of newer, better cards with full DX10 support.

You better believe it.

Like someone said in this thread, those with 7800GT/GTX can sit back and enjoy the highest level of gaming while waiting for DX10 part aka G80.
I bought my two 7800GTXs the day they were out and I'll do the same with G80.:D
