This is only new if you havent looked at Anand homepage: Link. Guess its an OCed to. MSRP at $450. I see Nvidia pulling a x800pro with 4 pipes less and lower clocks than the higher-end card its based on. If ATI comes out with a 32 pipe x900pro with lower speeds, or even a 28 pipe card might be able to dominate this gen of cards (maybe).

Sorry for all you hopeful AGP people because this is PCI-E only also.

It's news to me :D

But the specs are pretty close to what most people were expecting.

I'm assuming this will be able to unlock pipes and OC to a gtx? I'd assume so, the way cards usually work.

$450 does seem...a little overpriced...but, i'm assuming also that prices will drop fast on these too, like they did with the 7800gtx.

i think there's a bird in my house...

Maybe, maybe not hans. It takes work to turn the x800pro into a x800xt/pe, and only a VIVO. I would not be willing to throw away $450 dollars on something I could mess up. But hey thats me.

Anyways Im looking forward to the 3rd card Nvidia is going to release with the "power of 3" advertising.

Havn't we seen some deals for 7800 GTX's for like 470 already on Dell's website? I can't see this price lasting long.

Hopefully, the bios strap quad unlocking way of rivatuner still works as well as the 6 series.

I think that price was like 447 bucks in early July.

my 4000MP fillrate and 16GB bandwidth 6600GT is exactly half the power of a 7800GT, sounds like a great upgrade provided i can pick one up for around £250..........

It's gonna drop to sub-$400 REAL quick.

And since that one was an OC board, I bet the real one is 400/1000 or 400/980.

If it is out soon, it probably will be unlockable because it would have taken another couple months to "tape out" a new chip.
