7800GT SLI vs 8800GTS

So I'm wanting to upgrade my current eVGA 7800GT, but I can't decide between dropping a second in SLI mode or just popping up to one of the 8800 GTSs. I could always then get a second 8800GTS, but since it's taken me so long to even consider SLI for this card, that's not a large deciding factor.

Thoughts/opinions?

edit: I'm currently running a Dell 2007FPW with a 19" samsung secondary display.

Get the 8800 GTS. In general it's almost always better to get a faster single card than two slower cards.

QFT. I'd take a single card solution any day, even if it was a little slower than the multi-card solution.
