7800GT SLI Question

I currently have a Albatron 7800GT video card and I'm interested in going SLI. Do I need to get the exact same model or can I pickup any other brand of 7800GT ???

Yes, you can use any 7800GT with possibly the exception of Bliss Gainwards models, which sometimes have different amounts of RAM, which will probably screw it up.

The speeds will default to the slower of the two cards if memory serves.

I would suggest you sell your 7800GT and get a radeon 1900XT instead, nowadays you get them sub 400$(399$ or lower is possible)
1900XT>2 7800GTs

Any 80's or newer driver will support differnt manufacturers in SLI. Just make sure it's the same kind of card (i.e. 7800GT with 7800GT and NOT 7800GTX).

90's series driver will also do it.
